What they asked for
An updated visual brand identity applied to print and digital collateral
What they got
A campaign consisting of modern, elevated marketing materials that deliver a fresh attitude across a perspective student's entire decision journey
A GREAT COLLEGE GETTING OVERLOOKED
With new branding established in 2019, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) hired CBD Marketing to advance their visual identity across dozens of collateral pieces within their College of Engineering.
With our expertise in higher education, we knew that to engage potential and current students, alumni, faculty and industry experts, we had to deliver real stopping power.
HIGHER ED KNOW-HOW + DYNAMIC DESIGN
As Chicago’s largest university, UIC offers their students and staff access to all that our vibrant city has to offer. CBD leveraged that, along with the university’s stellar learning environment and overall reputation, to inform a visual identity that was impactful, robust and forward-thinking. The design allowed for a collection of immersive print and digital communications that appealed to all of the university’s audiences.
We helped the College of Engineering define their brand across their six departments, giving each its own color pairing and highlighting key points of difference to help prospective students identify their area of focus
We used bold colors, graphic elements and photography to tap into the dynamism and diversity of both the university and the city of Chicago
“CBD Marketing created a bright, crisp visual identity that communicates the excellence and professionalism of the College while reflecting the energy of our diverse community. The result is a suite of materials that we can be proud of — and that is helping UIC Engineering to garner its deserved share of the spotlight in Chicago and beyond.”
